The colouring of this piece was done in 10 minutes with coloured translucent tissues dipped into water glue then starting from the top, with the blue and so on. As the glue started to absorb into the tissues the colour start flowing downwards on top of the other colour. So basically, they mixed by themselves, I just had to make sure I put the right colour onto the right part of the sculpture so the colours wouldn't get all messed up. Inside is a balloon. This piece, as usual, refers to birth. The Rafflesia represents woman, gentleness, beauty etc. And in the centre you can see the opening looks like an abstract vagina showing the balloon sitting inside the womb.
